Remedial and Sports therapy is a treatment involving the use of specialized massage techniques to relieve tension and remedy overworked muscles and tendons. Sports Massage therapists are trained to assess injuries and restore muscle function using different massage techniques and passive joint stretching moves when appropriate. It is a healing (remedial) treatment and can be gentle or deep depending on your needs. It is not exclusively for sporting types but is suitable for anyone experiencing muscle tension, stiffness or soreness. Massage is usually performed with oil but dry massage treatments can be arranged if necessary.
This involves the same basic techniques, but instead of remedial, the massage is designed to be gentle, smooth-flowing and deeply relaxing. This treatment helps to ease and tone muscles, reduce stress and improve circulation, allowing mind and body to recharge and rejuvenate. It is performed with oil but dry massage treatments can be arranged if necessary.
This is a treatment where the feet and lower leg are massaged and gently stretched to reduce stress and aid relaxation. Our therapists do not claim to be professionally-trained reflexologists, but they have sufficient understanding of the techniques and theory to offer a deeply relaxing foot massage, a wonderful way to reward your feet after several sore days of trekking or sightseeing.
